Wearing appropriate outfits to adventure parks is necessary from the safety point of view. However, most of us don’t even realize that we are not wearing the right clothes when visiting an adventure park. We mostly forget it’s an adventure park filled with physical activities and not a nightclub. While the clothes should be fitting, you should also be comfortable the entire day to enjoy your time to the fullest. But the twist comes when the weather in your area or the park you choose is cold. Every adventure park has a set of rules about what to wear and what not to wear that you should definitely check out before going. However, there are some general tips to remember when choosing your outfit for the day.

Let us look at some weather-friendly apparel for you to wear to an adventure park in the Northern UK!

#1- Bottoms: What you wear as bottoms is really critical. Since adventure parks include rock climbing, high ropes, and many other physical activities, you want your outfit to give your legs enough space to move about. This is especially true for Northern UK, where wearing full-length bottoms like pants and leggings is great. If you can handle a little wind, you can opt for knee-length shorts, capris, and bermudas. You can also layer your bottoms with leggings if you feel too cold. Avoid too-short shorts or you could get sick upon returning. You should also avoid jeans because they are comparatively heavy, allow little flexibility, and do not dry quickly.

#2- Tops: Opt for active-wear shirts that are lightweight, allow your sweat to dry quickly, and can be layered easily. You can also layer up with a long-sleeved tee shirt under a short-sleeved tee. Sweatshirts and hoodies are your best friends if you feel too cold, especially as the sun goes down and the temperature lowers. A lightweight jacket is a lifesaver that you can take off and tie to your waist whenever you want.

#3- Footwear: Comfortable footwear is the key when doing physical activities at adventure parks. You need the grip that sandals, boots, and flip-flops cannot provide. According to the activities you want to participate in, you can wear training shoes or running shoes. Avoid wearing heels because they can twist your ankle and give you cramps, preventing you from enjoying your time.

Things to Remember-

  • When going to an adventure park with cold or fine weather (and we mean- not hot) like in the Northern UK, the keyword is layering.
  • Avoid heavy coats. You do not want to carry weight around, plus you will get hot once you start your adventurous trip.
  • Don’t wear flip-flops, sandals, and open-toed footwear that can be a risk during activities.
  • Don’t wear jewelry as you may lose it.
  • Always carry a backpack to keep any layers that you remove.
